What was the sequence of events that brought you into the company (recruiting layering process)? “I met my recruiter Lorri at a weight loss center as she was doing a “live facial box”. I hosted a Skin Care Class and then became a great customer!! Lorri invited me to attend her weekly Sales Meeting. On the way home, in her free Mary Kay Car, I asked her to tell me about the Mary Kay Opportunity.”
Why did you join? “I was at a point where my Teaching career was not meeting my financial needs and frankly, I needed money. The Beauty Consultants I observed looked like they were having fun. I particularly enjoyed meeting the women, who seemed real and friendly!“
Why did you want to be a Director? “The turning point for me was when my Sales Director, Robin Rowland, showed me how much more money I could be making if I promoted myself to the position of Sales Director.”
What is the one thing that was difficult for you or you were afraid of in this business? How
did you overcome it? ” I was afraid of anyone I did not know. I have always been afraid to meet new
people! I finally realized that all women, no matter how it may seem, have insecurities of their own!
I learned to always try to look my best, then forget myself and try to make the people around me feel special!“
What advice would you give a Consultant who wants to become a Sales Director ? ” Ask
EVERYONE to listen to our opportunity!! Leave no stone unturned! Directorship allows you to put your
signature on your MK business!!”
